So, what will the Senior Career Advisor Specialist at Terrestris do?

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,321 health care facilities, including 172 VA Medical Centers and 1,138 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics) to over 9 million Veterans enrolled in the VA health care program. The VA will lead the future in delivering unparalleled health and well-being to our nation’s Veterans, and to the nation.

Specifically, this role serves as support providing executive coaching, career consulting services, assessment administration, and custom course development to enhance the agency's workforce capabilities and drive organizational transformation.

What does a typical day look like for the Senior Career Advisor Specialist?

You will:

  • Develop and implement career path guides
  • Support government operations in overall program management policies and plans
  • Provide functional and technical direction of the work and associated resources involved in providing career management
  • Conduct program reviews requiring systematic ways of assessing the quality of current and future career management programs
  • Analyze success, outcomes, and improvement programs
  • Assist the VHA in executing program operations to meet the previously established goals and objectives
  • Provide input on the program evaluation and improvement of the organization
  • Assist the VHA in the identification of program resources and assist in the development of program reports

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the Career Advisor we’re looking for if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, and career consulting
  • Experience in healthcare or public sector organizations
  • An ICF certification (PCC or MCC level preferred)
  • A thorough understanding of federal human capital frameworks and OPM's HR University resources
  • Experience designing and implementing talent management strategies across large organizations
  • Experience coaching senior executives in federal agencies
  • Expertise in learning transfer strategies to ensure sustainable behavior change
