So, what will the Off-Road Vehicle Mechanic at Terrestris do?

As the Off-Road Vehicle Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain off-road vehicles, primarily Polaris RZR, and other specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engines, suspensions, drivetrains, and electrical systems specific to off-road performance and terrain demands.

What does a typical day look like for the Off-Road Vehicle Mechanic?

You will:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on Polaris RZR vehicles.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, brake inspection, and tire servicing.
  • Troubleshoot engine, suspension, drivetrain, and electronic system issues.
  • Install aftermarket parts and accessories (lift kits, performance upgrades, lighting, etc.).
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and post-repair test drives.
  • Use diagnostic tools and Polaris service software (Digital Wrench) to identify problems.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Ensure work area is clean, safe, and compliant with shop safety standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest RZR models, upgrades, and service techniques.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when discussing repairs and recommendations.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the mechanic we’re looking for if you have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent; technical school certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Polaris vehicles or similar off-road / powersports equipment.
  • Strong understanding of 4-stroke engine systems, CVT transmissions, and off-road suspension.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read service manuals and technical schematics.
  • Physically fit to lift heavy parts and work in various shop conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • A valid driver’s license.

We are extra impressed by folks with:

  • Polaris Digital Wrench certification.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with other powersports vehicles (ATVs, UTVs, etc.).
