An Interim Office Assistant's day is dynamic, they will handle a variety of administrative tasks, including answering calls, greeting visitors, managing mail, and maintaining paper files and documents. The role involves using office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and scanners, as well as coordinating hearings with court reporters and external customers. Additionally, the assistant will assist with case inquiries, respond to public and appellant questions about appeals, and support the Supervisory Paralegal Specialist in communicating general Board procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills are essential for this role.
