So, what will the Facilitation Specialist at Terrestris do?

The Facilitation Specialist is responsible for providing expert facilitation for workshops and focus groups across all project phases, driving effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement. The Facilitation Specialist will leverage their expertise in best practices, change management, business management, organizational development, modeling, and systems engineering to support a wide range of projects. This role may involve working as a task lead, functional lead, or individual contributor depending on project needs.

What does a typical day look like for a Facilitation Specialist?

The Facilitation Specialist's day is dynamic. The role involves preparing for and facilitating workshops or focus groups, guiding discussions on topics like business management, change management, and systems engineering. Between sessions, they perform functional and systems analysis, prepare reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and ensure project progress. The specialist also applies expertise in organizational development and best practices to support all phases of the project, balancing facilitation with analysis and strategic planning.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the person we’re looking for if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Organizational Development, Systems Engineering, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in facilitation, systems analysis, change management, organizational development, or related areas.
  • Proven experience leading and facilitating workshops, focus groups, and meetings with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform functional and systems analysis and deliver actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management principles and their application in business and technical environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to various audiences.
  • Experience with program design, documentation preparation, and report writing.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Willingness to travel as required by mission objectives.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
