We are seeking an On-Site Shift Supervisor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Acquisition Center’s (NAC) Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS) for the Denver Logistic Services (DLS) located in Golden, CO.

So, what will the On-Site Shift Supervisor at Terrestris do?

As the On-Site Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and personnel as well as for the overall worked performed by Material Coordinators at assigned warehouses for all contracted employees.

What does a typical day look like for the On-Site Shift Supervisor?

You will:

  • Train Material Coordinators.
  • Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and employee capabilities, ensuring work is timely and compliant with DLS standards and that all transactions are accurate.
  • Maintain records, document necessary information, and utilize reports to warehouse project status.
  • Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with government personnel to enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Monitor and review work, give employee feedback on performance, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Participate in interview panels and recommend selection of candidates.
  • Comply with all government policies.
  • Ensure that order drops have a minimum accuracy rate of 90%, correct tasks, and perform functions accurately, on-time, and in alignment with performance standards.
  • Identify issues/concerns and report them to On-site Program Manager.
  • Resolve/implement new procedures, resolve conflicts, and consult with government personnel to ensure proper training and documentation on file for completion of training for each specific task/area of work.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience in Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse Operations.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of logistics with experience in supply chain management (e.g. shipping, receiving, order fulfillment processes and procedures).
  • Conflict management skills.
  • The ability to anticipate and solve problems proactively.
  • Time management skills in order to adhere to scheduling and prioritizing.
  • Proficiency in following:
    • Inventory software and systems.
    • Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Excel.
    • Microsoft Office 2010 or later.
    • Data entry.
    • Typing skills.
  • Knowledge of security measures and principles to prevent loss of product and control access.
  • Knowledge of protective clothing, safety, and hazardous material handling procedures and equipment to ensure that employees work safely, have a safe environment to work.
  • Ability to guide and teach employees in their duties, procedures, and policies.
  • Ability to monitor and discuss with the employee their performance.

We are extra impressed by folks with:

  • One to two years of higher education or Technical / Trade education equivalent.
  • A Forklift Operator Certification.
